My Roles
Technical Designer/Core Programmer
- Gameplay
- Systems
- UI
Here's an overview of some of the work I've completed
All gameplay was created by me. (This is an early prototype of the game, everything shown is therefore subject to change)
All footage is recorded on PC (unless otherwise stated) purely for fidelity. All systems have been packaged and tested on the Android platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of mobile gameplay mechanics, UI and systems using UE4 Blueprint, Animation Blueprints, UMG and C++ where required.
- Working closely with other designers to prototype and execute design visions.
- Developing user-friendly tools and systems that allow sleeker workflows for other engine users.
- Working with animators to implement player character and AI mechanics.
- Smooth Integration of plugins with current systems
- Management of builds and apks
Overview:
Since I was the Core programmer all scripting was done by myself. I was also tasked with helping the the lead designer with pre-production documents and mechanic flow charts.
I worked with Bleeding Heart Studios on this project which focused on Rhino conservation through a narrative that follows a rookie ranger. The studio had originally pitched their idea to the UN and they were on-board, later the Studio was given an Epic grant to continue development.
