Overview:
I have been a technical designer for AMP for more than 3 years, focusing on player mechanics and other crucial gameplay systems. AMP is a purely non-profit passion project originating from a love of Fallout and other similar RPG's.
Over the years we have gone through many iterations of most mechanics learning more and more as we progress. The hardest part of this project has been picking apart previously created systems from the Fallout games and recreating them in an entirely new engine. Of course this is not the correct way to create games but I have found it to be very beneficial in understanding how systems are created by professionals.
